Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – School Setting
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide occupational therapy services to students in a school-based setting for the full school year.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
- 35 hours per week
- Full school-year contract
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Implement IEP-based treatment plans and therapy goals
- Assist students with fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, positioning, self-care, and daily school activities
- Support students in accessing and participating in the educational environment
- Document therapy sessions and student progress
- Communicate progress and concerns with the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and other related-service professionals
- Follow all school policies and student safety requirements
Requirements
- Current New York State Occupational Therapy Assistant certification/authorization
- Current NYS fingerprint clearance
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
