The GI RN works with Outpatients and Inpatients at both campuses and takes calls for Endoscopy. Will take OR nurse who has Endoscopy Training/ experience or sole focus on Endoscopy. Day/evening shift 0630 to 1500 or 0800 to 1630 variable Takes call as needed usually once a week and every 6th weekend unless there are call offs or person wants to pick up more. Able to switch with team members as needed if providers and team/unit know when call coverage is altered and does not leave openings in coverage.

JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse – Version 2 MAIN FUNCTION: The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated timeframe and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: STANDARDS OF CARE Nursing Process Assessment ** 1. Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiological, psychological and cognitive status of patients. Diagnosis ** 2. Analyze assessment data to determine appropriate nursing diagnoses. Outcome Identification ** 3 Identifies appropriate expected outcomes individualized to the patient. Planning ** 4. Formulates a goal directed plan of care, which is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes. ** 5. Identifies patient/significant other learning needs and implements appropriate measures to meet these. Implementation ** 6. Implement care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent and continuous manner. ** 7. Performs documentation duties on unit and in patient record, which is timely, accurate and concise. Evaluation ** 8.
