Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Cheektowaga, NY
Gig Healthcare is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for an assignment at a respected acute-care hospital in Cheektowaga, New York.
Located just outside Buffalo, Cheektowaga offers easy access to the New York State Thruway, Buffalo Niagara International Airport, shopping, restaurants, and nearby Western New York communities.
Responsibilities
- Assess and stabilize patients with urgent and emergent conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the care team
- Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and support staff
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Follow hospital safety, infection-control, and emergency-care protocols
Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of one year of recent Emergency Room or Emergency Department experience in the last 24 months
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- PALS certification
- Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute-care environment
