Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician | Overnight
A hospital in the Concord, MA area is hiring a Medical Technologist for its overnight lab shift. This is a generalist role covering Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, and Microbiology, with full independence overnight and no direct supervisor on site.
Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 10:30pm to 7:00am, full-time, 40 hours/week.
Pay: $30.00 to $43.00/hour (Medical Technologist) or $30.00 to $40.00/hour (Medical Laboratory Technician), plus night and weekend shift differentials. $5,000 sign-on bonus for MT candidates, paid in four installments over your first year. Pay determined based on experience.
What you'll do:
- Run routine and specialized diagnostic testing on blood, body fluid, and specimen samples
- Perform daily QC, instrument calibration, and troubleshooting
- Call critical values directly to physicians and patient care areas
- Cover phlebotomy and accessioning as needed to support the overnight team
What you need:
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related lab science (MT), or Associate's degree in a lab science or ASCP/AMT certification (MLT)
- 3+ years of generalist lab experience preferred
- ASCP certification preferred
- Comfortable working independently overnight with no on-site supervisor
